| At JoeDia, we simply help you to find and purchase the “right” diamond. The “right” diamond isn’t always the biggest stone or the fanciest design, it is a diamond that gives you the most for your money. And the only way to acquire that “right” diamond is to make smart choices. Choices such as choosing a diamond that is slightly smaller in carat, like a .99 carat stone versus a 1.02 carat stone — the average person will never be able the tell the difference in size yet you will be able to save a significant amount of money. At JoeDia, we offer diamonds that have the best color and clarity so that you can maximize your dollar when purchasing your diamond. All of our diamonds are G/H in color and SI in clarity. To find out how this can help you make a smart choice to find the “right” diamond, please read on.
Diamonds with a higher grade color, appear whiter and therefore are more valuable. However, purchasing a near-colorless diamond (G or H on the color scale) rather than a colorless (D, E or F on the color scale) is a better value and more bang for the buck. A non-expert will not be able to tell the difference in color, yet the difference in price will be significant. At JoeDia, all of our diamonds are G or H in color, giving you the confidence that the ring you choose will sparkle and shine beyond compare.
Diamonds are graded for clarity (blemishes and imperfections) under a 10x loupe magnification. The clarity grades range from Flawless (FL) and Internally Flawless (IF), meaning there are absolutely no blemishes or inclusions under a 10x loupe magnification, to Included (II and I3), which have large, heavy blemishes and inclusions that are visible to the naked eye. A diamond’s clarity grade has an impact on the diamond’s value, yet not on the unmagnified appearance of the stone. For this reason, it is most economical and advantageous to buy “eye-clean” diamonds – diamonds with no inclusions visible to the naked eye. These diamonds are graded as Slightly Included (SI1 and SI3) and the inclusions or blemishes cannot be seen without the aid of a 10x loupe magnification. At JoeDia, our diamonds are graded SI clarity, ensuring that the appearance and beauty of the stone will not be compromised.
